Purple Sandpiper

Purple Sandpiper. These little guys are swinging back through the area, making their way north to the Arctic, where they spend the summer. It was stormy this day, and the crash of the waves was punctuated by little squeaks as these tiny birds got sprayed by water. This guy decided he’d had enough and risked getting closer to me in the hopes of avoiding the cold sea spray.
